Momentum builds with new Walgreens store openings

We’re celebrating the opening of six new Walgreens stores over the past few months, marking an exciting step forward in serving more communities:  

• Store #21570 in Hollywood, Florida
• Store #21593 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico
• Store #21579 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
• Store #21632 in Blythe, California
• Store# 21633 in Morro Bay, California
• Store #21631 in Hamptons Bay, New York

From Day One, these stores are making a difference for customers and patients in their areas. They provide residents easier access to trusted pharmacy services and everyday essentials, while creating jobs for local team members.

We continue to evolve our store footprint in a flexible, market-by-market approach to best meet the needs of the communities we serve. Being the first choice for retail pharmacy remains central to our strategy. Although we won’t be able to keep every store open, closing a store is always a last resort. We closed fewer than 100 stores in fiscal year 2026.
